Please limit equipment to two large (18"x36") duffel bags: Excluding rifle, ammo, day pack, and sleeping bag. No extra large duffel bags. Two bags not to exceed 60 pounds total.

  • Rifle with sling
  • 2 boxes of ammunition
  • Shell Holder (bullet band)
  • 2 Knives
  • Binoculars
  • GPS-(Bushnell Backtracker, $59.99 or better) know how to use it
  • 2 Water containers  (plastic water bottles from a convenience store work good)
  • Rain suit (good quality)
  • 2 pair of waterproof boots & gloves
  • 2 Lighters, candles or waterproof containers of matches
  • Orange vest or cap (cap recommended)
  • Toilet Paper in Zip-Lock bag
  • 1/2 roll toilet paper in waterproof container for day pack (backpack)
  • SMALL day pack (backpack) preferably with hydration system.

Helpful Hints:

  • Dress in layers
  • Wool and Polartec are best
  • Glove & sock liners are a plus
  • Use the same size battery for everything, if possible
  • Full face mask and/or ear muffs are nice when it's cold & windy
  • Neck strap works better for binoculars than harness system
  • Pack clothes/equipment in medium to large Duffle Bags, (preferably weather resistant)
  • Small, cheap tarp, 8'x10' or similar can be handy
  • Vitamins, Emergen-C, flavored powder for water works well
